NM_000492.4(CFTR):c.29G>C (p.Ser10Thr) was classified as Uncertain significance for Cystic fibrosis by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.S10T variant (also known as c.29G>C), located in coding exon 1 of the CFTR gene, results from a G to C substitution at nucleotide position 29. The serine at codon 10 is replaced by threonine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
