Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_000542.5(SFTPB):c.876G>A (p.Trp292Ter), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with SFTPB-related conditions. This variant is not present in population databases (ExAC no frequency). This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Trp304*) in the SFTPB gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in SFTPB are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10712351).
