Submitter rationale: This sequence change replaces glycine, which is neutral and non-polar, with serine, which is neutral and polar, at codon 313 of the HPS1 protein (p.Gly313Ser). RNA analysis indicates that this missense change induces altered splicing and may result in an absent or disrupted protein product. This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). This missense change has been observed in individual(s) with clinical features of Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome (PMID: 20662851; Invitae).
