Likely Pathogenic for Long QT syndrome — the classification assigned by All of Us Research Program, National Institutes of Health to NM_000218.3(KCNQ1):c.1239del (p.Lys414fs), citing ACMG Guidelines, 2015: This variant is predicted to result in loss of protein function through nonsense-mediated decay or protein truncation. Loss of function is an established mechanism of disease. This variant is rare in large population databases, including the Genome Aggregation Database (http://gnomad.broadinstitute.org/). To date, this variant has not been reported in association with human disease in the medical literature.

This study involves interpretation of variants in research participants for the purpose of population health screening. Participant phenotype was not available at the time of variant classification. Additional details can be found in publication PMID: 35346344, PMCID: PMC8962531
