Submitter rationale: This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Gly423Argfs*9) in the KCNA2 gene. While this is not anticipated to result in nonsense mediated decay, it is expected to disrupt the last 77 amino acid(s) of the KCNA2 protein. This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with KCNA2-related conditions. This premature translational stop signal has been observed in at least one individual who was not affected with KCNA2-related conditions (Invitae).
