Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_001001548.3(CD36):c.1086_1109dup (p.Tyr370Ter), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with CD36-related conditions. The frequency data for this variant in the population databases is considered unreliable, as metrics indicate poor data quality at this position in the ExAC database. This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Tyr370*) in the CD36 gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in CD36 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 11352982, 11950861).
