Uncertain significance for Intellectual disability-microcephaly-strabismus-behavioral abnormalities syndrome — the classification assigned by Illumina Laboratory Services, Illumina to NM_015100.4(POGZ):c.859+1G>A, citing ICSLVariantClassificationCriteria RUGD 01 April 2020: The POGZ c.859+1G>A variant occurs in a canonical splice site (donor) and is therefore predicted to disrupt the normal gene product. A literature search was performed for the gene and cDNA change. No publications were found based on this search. This variant is not found in the Genome Aggregation Database version 2.1.1 or version 3.1.1 despite its location in a region of good sequencing coverage, which suggests the variant is rare. Based on the limited evidence, the c.859+1G>A variant is classified as a variant of uncertain significance for White-Sutton syndrome.
