The observed variant frequency within East Asian control individuals in the gnomAD database is approximately 7 fold of the estimated maximal expected allele frequency for a pathogenic variant in TNXB causing Ehlers-Danlos syndrome due to tenascin-X deficiency phenotype (0.0011). To our knowledge, no occurrence of c.11380+15A>G in individuals affected with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome due to tenascin-X deficiency and no experimental evidence demonstrating its impact on protein function have been reported.
