Pathogenic for MHC class II deficiency — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_000246.4(CIITA):c.36C>A (p.Tyr12Ter), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): Loss-of-function variants in CIITA are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 8402893, 9099848, 26271388). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with CIITA-related conditions. This variant is present in population databases (rs367628451, ExAC 0.01%). This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Tyr12*) in the CIITA gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product.
