Pathogenic for Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal neoplasms — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000002.11:g.(?_47635530)_(48035526_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the MSH6 gene has been identified. The boundaries of this event are unknown as the deletion extends beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. Similar deletions have been observed in individuals affected with clinical features of Lynch syndrome (PMID: 28135145, 24323032). Loss-of-function variants in MSH6 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 18269114, 24362816). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
