Pathogenic for Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 4 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000005.9:g.(?_148360713)_(148443737_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with SH3TC2-related conditions. A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the SH3TC2 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in SH3TC2 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 20220177, 27068304). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes.
