Pathogenic for Arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy with wooly hair and keratoderma; Arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia 8 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000006.11:g.(?_7565582)_(7569583_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in DSP are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 20716751, 24503780, 25227139). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with DSP-related conditions. This variant is an out-of-frame deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 7-12 of the DSP gene. This is expected to create a premature translational stop signal and result in an absent or disrupted protein product.
