Pathogenic for Tuberous sclerosis 1 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000009.11:g.(?_135771622)_(135820530_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the TSC1 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in TSC1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10227394, 17304050). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with tuberous sclerosis (PMID: 17287951, 20877415). In at least one individual the variant was observed to be de novo. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
