Pathogenic for Primary ciliary dyskinesia — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000006.11:g.(?_38754521)_(38759470_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in DNAH8 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 24307375). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with DNAH8-related conditions. This variant is an out-of-frame deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 18-21 of the DNAH8 gene. This is expected to create a premature translational stop signal and result in an absent or disrupted protein product.
