Pathogenic for Brunner syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_000240.4(MAOA):c.1214del (p.Gly405fs), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in MAOA are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 8211186). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with MAOA-related conditions. This variant is not present in population databases (ExAC no frequency). This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Gly405Alafs*12) in the MAOA gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product.
