Pathogenic for Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal neoplasms — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000002.11:g.(?_48010211)_(48033885_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This sequence change is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the MSH6 gene. This deletion extends to both edges of the assayed region, and the 5' and 3' boundaries of this event are not known. This sequence change has been reported in the literature and is not present in population databases. This sequence change was reported in an individual affected with Lynch syndrome (PMID: 18566915). Deletions of the coding sequence of the MSH6 gene are expected to be pathogenic (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK1211/). For these reasons, this sequence change has been classified as Pathogenic.
