NC_000017.10:g.(?_61994669)_(61996136_?)del was classified as Pathogenic by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the GH1 gene has been identified. The boundaries of this event are unknown as the deletion extends beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar deletion of the GH1 gene has been reported in individuals affected with growth hormone deficiency (PMID: 16355809, 2325087). The GH1 gene is also known as hGH-N in the literature. Loss-of-function variants in GH1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 19567534). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
