Pathogenic for Joubert syndrome; Meckel-Gruber syndrome; Nephronophthisis — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000012.11:g.(?_88512250)_(88519156_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 13-17 of the CEP290 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in CEP290 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 16909394, 17345604, 20690115). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with CEP290-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
