NC_000002.11:g.(?_145147018)_(145753167_?)del was classified as Pathogenic for Mowat-Wilson syndrome by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the ZEB2 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in ZEB2 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 16053902). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with Mowat-Wilson syndrome (PMID: 19842203, 29300384). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
