Pathogenic for Citrin deficiency — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000007.13:g.(?_95761045)_(95761203_?)dup, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in SLC25A13 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10369257, 14680984, 27405544). Similar gain of exon 15 has been observed in individual(s) with citrin deficiency (PMID: 12409267). It has also been observed to segregate with disease in related individuals. This variant results in a copy number gain of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 15 of the SLC25A13 gene. While the exact position of this variant cannot be determined from the data, sub-genic copy number gains are generally in tandem (PMID: 25640679). This variant is predicted to be out-of-frame, and may result in an absent or disrupted protein product.
