Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000009.11:g.(?_13136071)_(13136201_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 31 of the MPDZ gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in MPDZ are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 23240096, 28556411). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with MPDZ-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
