Pathogenic for Brugada syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000003.11:g.(?_38655228)_(38663986_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 4-6 of the SCN5A gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in SCN5A are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 20129283, 22789973). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with SCN5A-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
