Pathogenic for Citrin deficiency — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000007.13:g.(?_95906498)_(95906660_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 3 of the SLC25A13 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature translational stop signal and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in SLC25A13 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10369257, 14680984, 27405544). A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with citrin deficiency (PMID: 18487280). In at least one individual the data is consistent with the variant being in trans (on the opposite chromosome) from a pathogenic variant. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
