Pathogenic for Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000011.9:g.(?_47364119)_(47374208_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 1-17 of the MYBPC3 gene, which includes the initiator codon. The 5' end of this event is unknown as it extends beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. The 3' boundary is likely confined to intron 17 of the MYBPC3 gene. This is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with MYBPC3-related conditions. Loss-of-function variants in MYBPC3 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 19574547). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
