NC_000009.11:g.(?_119380583)_(119495822_?)del was classified as Pathogenic for Bardet-Biedl syndrome by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the TRIM32 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in TRIM32 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 23541687). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individuals with limb girdle muscular dystrophy (PMID: 23541687, 25351777; Invitae). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
