Pathogenic for Hereditary cancer-predisposing syndrome — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_177438.2:c.(734+1_735-1)_(2256+1_2257-1)dup, citing Ambry Autosomal Dominant and X-Linked criteria (2/2020): The EX6_13dup gross duplication spans coding exons 6 through 13 in the DICER1 gene; however, the exact breakpoints of the duplication were not determined. Additional analysis identified this duplication occurs in tandem and is predicted to result in an abnormal protein or a transcript that is subject to nonsense-mediated mRNA (Ambry internal data). As such, this alteration is interpreted as a disease-causing mutation.
