The variant was identified in dbSNP (ID: rs911599606) and in control databases in 3 of 30456 chromosomes at a frequency of 0.0000985 (Genome Aggregation Database March 6, 2019, v2.1.1). The variant was observed in the following populations: African in 2 of 8436 chromosomes (freq: 0.000237) and European (non-Finnish) in 1 of 15318 chromosomes (freq: 0.000065), but was not observed in the Latino, Ashkenazi Jewish, East Asian, European (Finnish), Other, or South Asian populations. The p.Ser32 residue is conserved in mammals but not in more distantly related organisms however computational analyses (SIFT, AlignGVGD, BLOSUM, MutationTaster) provide inconsistent predictions regarding the impact to the protein; this information is not very predictive of pathogenicity.
