Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000007.13:g.(?_105187351)_(105192160_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 5-10 of the RINT1 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in RINT1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 31204009). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with RINT1-related conditions. Experimental studies and prediction algorithms are not available or were not evaluated, and the functional significance of this variant is currently unknown. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
