Description

In a boy of Turkish origin with complex III deficiency (MC3DN1; 124000) born to nonconsanguineous parents, de Lonlay et al. (2001) identified compound heterozygosity for 2 mutations in the BCS1L gene: a 464C-G transversion in exon 3 of the BCS1L gene, resulting in an arg155-to-pro (R155P) substitution, and a 1057G-A transition in exon 7, resulting in a val353-to-met (V353M; 603647.0004) substitution.
