Conservation of regulatory motifs and phosphorylation sites between MSK and related kinases belonging to the AGC or CaMK group. The structural alignment illustrates that key regulatory motifs and phosphorylation sites of the MSK NTK and CTK domains are conserved in related AGC and CaMK group kinases. The kinases known or assumed to phosphorylate the various conserved phosphorylation sites are indicated. See Figure 2A for key to the various functional elements.
