Diagram of hTERT transcript with telomerase (T) and reverse transcriptase (1,2,AE) motifs. The positions of the first, second and third set of hTERT-specific primers, generating 281, 145 and 457 bp amplicons, respectively. Positions of peptides used for the L20 antibody are indicated. a and b splice sites cause deletions, resulting in amplicons of the alternatively spliced transcripts of 457 bp (full-length), 421 bp (a-deleted), 275 bp (b-deleted), and 239 bp (a/b-deleted), when using the TERT2164/TERT2620A primers.
