Dengue vaccine is a live, attenuated vaccine indicated for children up to 16 years of age. No information is available on the clinical use of dengue vaccine during breastfeeding. However, the viruses were not detected in the milk of rats given the vaccine. If dengue vaccine is required by the mother, it is not a reason to discontinue breastfeeding.
