Evidence for adjunctive therapy (benzydamine [topical agents], sprays, lozenges [e.g. Fisherman’s Friends], gargles, steroids): “No good quality evidence on the effectiveness of nonprescription throat sprays, lozenges and gargles was identified. No studies provided evidence of lasting benefit. No trials compared these products with conventional analgesics.” (P. 9)	Recommendation: “There is insufficient evidence to support a recommendation.” (p. 9)
