Appendix PInterpretation of CTGs – Likelihood ratios

The following diagrams relate to section 10.3 of the full guideline. They show the positive and negative likelihood ratio findings for the different outcomes that were reported by the studies. In each diagram, the green band represents a very useful finding (either a positive likelihood ratio [LR+] greater than 10, or a negative likelihood ratio [LR-] less than 0.1), the yellow band represents a moderately useful finding (LR+ > 5 – 10; LR- > 0.1 – 0.5) and the red band represents a finding which is not useful (LR+ < 5; LR- > 0.5).
