All receptors of this type contain seven transmembrane α-helical regions. The loop between α helices 5 and 6, and in some cases the loop between helices 3 and 4, which face the cytosol, are important for interactions with the coupled G protein. E1 – E4 = extracellular loops; H1 – H7 = transmembrane domains; C1 – C4 = cytosolic loops.
