Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) Toxicological Profiles

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) produces Toxicological Profiles for hazardous substances found at National Priorities List (NPL) sites. They are developed using a priority list based on their frequency of occurrence at NPL sites, toxicity, and potential for human exposure. ATSDR also considers other information, and has prepared Profiles for the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Department of Energy (DOE) on substances related to federal sites, as well as developed them to address other site-specific and public health requests. So far, only a sample of Tox Profiles are available available in the National Library of Medicine Bookshelf. For a complete list, see this index.
