Figure 5 displays a forest plot of the relative risk (RR) of suicide attempts in adult psychotherapy trials (k=11), stratified by type of psychotherapy. The overall RR was 0.68 (95% CI, 0.56 to 0.83). For cognitive behavior therapy trials (k=4), the RR was 0.80 (95% CI, 0.67 to 0.97). For problem-solving therapy trials (k=1), the RR was 0.83 (95% CI, 0.56 to 1.24). For dialectical behavior therapy trials (k=3), the RR was 0.47 (95% CI, 0.30 to 0.74). For psychodynamic/interpersonal therapy trials (k=2), the RR was 0.47 (95% CI, 0.23 to 0.95). For other direct therapy trials (k=1), the RR was 0.41 (95% CI, 0.04 to 3.82).
