Three cases of trisomy of 10q were found in this family. The translocation was present in three generations. It is not clear from the reports where the breaks occurred because there is a discrepancy between the two reports (10q23 or 10q24 and 17p1 or 17p13). Utilization of this cell line has enabled the assignment of the gene for cytoplasmic glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase to the region 10q24 -> 10qter.
