Once |FRAME: ADP| is formed (see |FRAME: PWY-7219|) it can be converted to the deoxy form, |FRAME: DADP| (dADP), by the enzyme ribonucleoside diphosphate reductase. The enzyme can only accept ribonucleoside diphosphates, and is inacative with the mono- or triphosphate forms. dADP is phosphorylated to the DNA precursor |FRAME: DATP| (dATP) by the broad-substrate range |FRAME: NUCLEOSIDE-DIP-KIN-CPLX|.
