Description

Bacillus velezensis HJ-16 was isolated from the surface of flue-cured tobacco leaves and characterized for its potential to enhance the sensory qualities of tobacco leaves through solid-state fermentation. Whole-genome sequencing of Bacillus velezensis HJ-16, performed using PacBio technology, revealed a single circular chromosome consisting of 3,938,104 base pairs (bp).
