Description

Sulfurospirillum halorespirans is a facultatively microaerophilic organims respiring anaerobically with chlorinated ethenes (tetrachloroethene and trichloroethene). Genome information will help to elucidate the organohalide-respiratory chain of Epsilonproteobacteria and might aid bioremediation of sites polluted with organohalides.
