The Common yellowthroat (Geothlypis trichas) is a North American warbler songbird, that breads in the US and Canada and winters in Mexico. The species is commonly studied for sexual selection, extra-pair mating, and conservation. This sample was collected by Peter Dunn of the University of Wisconsin, and sequencing supported by him and by Piotr Minias to generate a high-quality reference genome as part of the G10K-VGP.
