Here, we present curated sequences that we have used to produce a high-density linkage map for foxtail pine using methods applicable to any non-model conifer species, thus opening the door for further studies of genome structure and the genetic architecture of local adaptation in this rather understudied clade of pines, as well as the Pinaceae as a whole.
