bisulfite sequencing of microRNA reveals widespread CG and not-CG 5-(hydroxy)methylcytosine in human microRNAs

We performed small RNA sequencing after bisulfite treatment of small RNAs. Our data unveil that microRNAs undergo 5mC and 5hmC modifications and that these modifications are not associated with a specific sequence context.
