More...The first report of the frequency of primary resistance to antiretroviral drugs and genetic variability of HIV-1 among newly diagnosed pregnant women in Luanda was conducted between the years of 2008 and 2009. Since then, no similar studies have been conducted in Luanda showing the genetic diversity and frequency of resistance mutations among newly diagnosed pregnant women. The main objective of this study is to study genetic diversity and primary resistance in pregnant women newly diagnosed with HIV-1 in Luanda, Angola.
