This project provides a dataset of RNA-seq on white adipose tissues from 4 groups of syrian hamsters as follows; 1) animals kept in long photoperiod (light:dark=16:8), warm ambient temperature (23-25?C) (LD-Warm), 2) non-hibernating animals in short photoperiod (light:dark=8:16), cold ambient temperature (4?C) (SD-Cold) for 2-3 months, 3) animals at periodic arousal phase during hibernation in SD-Cold, 4) animals at deep torpor phase during hibernation in SD-Cold.
