More...The aim of this research was to characterize microbial communities of typical tropical soils under primary forest vegetation in Cat Tien National Park, southern Vietnam. Studied soils differed in genesis and lithological properties: alluvial sandy soil (Fluvisol), red-yellow clay soil (Dystric Regosol) on metamorphic schist, dark-colored (Skeletic Greyzemic Umbrisols) and brown (Distric Skeletic Rhodic Cambisol) volcanic clay soils on strongly-weathered basalts and tuffs. Total DNA was isolated from 3 horizons of each soil and 16S rRNA gene amplicons sequencing was provided.
