Oral microbiota in healthy versus diseased periodontal and peri-implant niches

We performed Illumina MiSeq sequencing on 16S rRNA gene amplicons to characterize and systematically compare the subgingival/submucosal microbiota of healthy and diseased periodontal/peri-implant sites within the same individuals presenting with both (chronic) periodontitis and peri-implantitis.
