Rheum australe D. Don. (Polygonaceae), an endangered perenial herb has been studied for it's survival and adaptive mechanism at High altitude (Rohtang Pass), low altitude (CSIR-IHBT Plamapur) and cold acclimatized (CSIR-IHBT Plamapur) conditions.
