More...We investigated the changes in gene expression upon reprogramming of mouse embryonic fibroblasts. For this we analyzed large number of data sets from three mammalian species, mouse, chimpanzee and human. A set of nine splicing factors has consistent changes that were observed across the three species. We found that ESRP1 and ESRP2 accelerated and enhanced reprogramming efficiency by inclusion of CD44 epithelial specific isoforms which also enhanced mesenchymal to epithelial transition.
